The endless continuances paid off for Aaron Hooven

After endless continuances, at intervention yesterday, the day before his preliminary hearing, Aaron Hooven entered a guilty plea to Count 1, shooting at an inhabitated dwelling. Count 2, assault with a firearm on a person was dismissed. Sentencing is November 6.

According to court minutes, the conditional plea is based on a grant of probation. I am sure Kyle Jacobsen, the man who Hooven shot at from his truck and EPD who had to chase Hooven from one end of town to a 5th Street parking lot to arrest him are thrilled. Hooven had a loaded firearm in his truck and could have hurt more people.

DA Maggie Fleming and Deputy DA Roger Rees were present for the People. Deputy Conflict Counsel Owen Tipps appeared in court with Hooven.
