This afternoon, before testimony in the Brian Leiteritz preliminary started, an arrest warrant was issued for Alicia Rose. Rose is in contempt of court for failure to respond to a subpoena.
Terrance Ford aka Chopper was the People's first witness and he was a disaster. He had to be admonished by Judge Marilyn Miles at least 6 times. He was all over the place and constantly changing his answers. We took take a break and Judge Miles asked Mr. Stewart to talk to Ford.
Ford lost it on the stand,talked over the Judge, told Leiteritz's attorney, Mr. Michael Robinson who was cross examining him, "You are irritating me, dude"
Ford has known Leiteritz for years and had known Liakos for two days. He met Liakos through Rose. Later,Ford said he had known Liakos for a day.
Similarly, he went back and forth between saying Leiteritz was outside with Liakos and then at other times saying an unknown individual.
Rose dated Chopper 25 years ago. Who has Alicia Rose not dated in this case? Ford was very dismissive of Rose's relationship with Liakos saying Liakos was like a puppy dog and trying to be her shining knight in armor; her savior. According to Ford, Rose waa using Liakos. Rose is also Leiteritz's ex.
A lot of interesting and juicy but irrelevant information came out during Ford's testimony such as him being in a car with the windows steamed up with a woman named Sonia Bitcoin Zinc who knows Rose. Ford bragged about trying to "dirty mack" Bitcoin-Zinc.
Later, he admitted reality. He was in the front seat, Bitcoin-Zinc in the back seat but "on a night like this, anything could happen."
Something did happen, he was cuffed in a police car and interviewed by Investigator Hicks and his partner. When confronted about a statement he made to Investigator Hicks, Ford said was tired of their games, he was in the car for hours and thirsty. He also developed convenient court amnesia on the stand, convulting yet another answer.
This is minutes before Ford said Liakos was gasping for air. Ford ended up calling 911 and claims he left after the ambulance got there.
Even the information he gave which maybe pertinent to the case constantly changed. Ford was impeached by Mr. Robinson during cross because he claimed Bitcoin-Zinc entered Dennys with Rose. This was right before Ford took Liakos back to 1140 Boss Road. The first trip was when Rose directed Ford to drive to that address and park at a specific spot. Mr. Robinson asked Ford if that was to avoid being viewed by the Ring security camera.
When told by Mr. Robinson video showed Bitcoin- Zinc did not enter the McKinleyville Dennys with Rose, Ford had no response other than a flippant remark about his lack of attention.
Ford admitted that he was a smart ass when he was interviewed by HCSO Investigator Scott Hicks and Lt. Sam Williams.
Ford got defensive when Mr. Robinson asked him about Investigator Hicks saying he had enough to arrest him. He also said it was irrelevant if he had ingested drugs that night.
Ford would not stop ranting. Judge Miles stopped today's proceedings at 4:15. Ford was ordered to return tomorrow at 9:15. The longer he stays on the stand, the more he tanks the prosecution case.
It is not worth my time posting hours of testimony and detailed notes when Ford changes what he said minute by minute.
Some Leiteritz family members have filed restraining orders against Rose. One of those restraining orders was denied until the hearing scheduled this afternoon. This is according to a family member. She chose to be at the preliminary hearing instead of her restraining order hearing. According to this family member, Judge Kelly Neel denied her order until the hearing today because there were no specific threats of violence.
HCSO Deputy Eric Losey and HCSO Investigator Hicks, who is the lead investigator on this case are expected to testify for the People. The defense does not plan to call any witnesses.

Free Brian. Isn't it obvious these spun out brain dead idiots had an ax to grind with him? When can a man attacked at night defend himself and his home?

DeleteMr. Leiteritz needs to upgrade to a better class of friends and acquaintances. I'm all for dropping the charges, or minimizing them, but he also needs to reconsider his life choices.
