Dylon Liakos cause of death "stab wound to the back entering chest"

Day 4 of Brian Leiteritz's preliminary hearing. Terrance Ford was here and early. Attorneys went in at 9:16 a.m. Ford is on call.

HCSO Investigator Scott Hicks is testifying.

According to forensic pathologist, Dr. Mark Super, Dylon Liakos cause of death was "stab wound to the back entering the chest. The wound entered both sides of the aorta/lung.
Downward angle from left to right."

It is frustrating to do daily updates because  we have gone through hours of cross examination with repetitive questions and a lot of time time wasted on Alicia Rose and Terrance Ford.

It has been established there are inconsistencies in their statements and inconsistencies. Investigator Hicks summed it up best. "There were consistencies and inconsistencies."

Whether all rise to the level of impeachment we shall see.

Based  on cell phone records obtained by HCSO, Alicia Rose did lie about the number of phone calls on August 9. She said 5; cell phone records show 120. On August 9, she sent 18 text messages to Leiteritz. On August 10, she sent 3 text mesages to Leiteritz.

Mr. Robinson read text message content from Rose. Investigator Hicks did not verify the content because that kind of information requires a forensic extraction. Mr. Robinson did not enter what he read into evidence and it was not testimony.

Other information from Investigator Hicks corroborated what Rose said. Dylon Liakos had heroin in his system. This was new information today. Previously, it was meth.

There is a possibility Deputy Eric Losey may be recalled. Investigator Hicks will be looking into the flashlight and details of text and phone calls this afternoon.

Again, this is not a jury trial. It is a preliminary hearing. Take away Ford and Rose's testimony and the testimony of Deputy Losey and Investigator Hicks can still establish probable cause or not.

Leiteritz told CHP Officer McCarwell, "He hit me; I stabbed him." Leiteritz clenched his fist and thrust forward.

During cross examination, Investigator Hicks confirmed Liakos' mother told him that she believes Rose had a role in her son's death. "The same Alicia Rose that was given immunity?" said Mr. Robinson.

Some stuff, again is irrelevant. Mr. Robinson kept saying Bitcoin but it is Sonia Zinc Bitcon. Do we really need to hear about the windows being steamed with Ford and Zinc Bitcon at 5th and E in Arcata? What does that have to do with the charges in this case and the incident at 1140 Boss Road?

Ford called her the blonde woman. This is the
only photo I could find of a Sonia Bitcon.

Investigator Hicks testified that right before the camera on the Ring security system was shut off, a person is seen walking to Leiteritz's power box. He could not identify the person.

In a previous post I said, who hasn't Rose dated? Leiteritz seems to have the same problem besides bad judgement in women. His ex wife meddles in his life, he has an on and off relationship with Rose, who finds him with another woman.

Regarding the incident where Liakos got a black eye two weeks prior, Investigator Hicks said that Rose told him that Leiteritz's ex wife made a remark about Rose's children. Then Rose came out of the bedroom she was in and an argument ensued between the two women. Rose called her cousin to come get her and Liakos was with her cousin. When they came to get Rose, Leiteritz asked Liakos to leave; he wouldn't and then the men fought.

Another court case filled drama with people who cant keep their pants zipped or stop swapping bodily fluids. Mix in alcohol, drugs and over zealous supporters and one man is dead.

Leiteritz supporters who have blinders on cannot see objectively that Leiteritz is not free of culpability.

The investigation into the case is ongoing. If this case goes to jury trial, who knows what the further investigation will show.

  1. Yikes! Stabbed in the back is not good self defense, but I can still understand panic and manslaughter.
I feel sorry for the son who lived in the home dealing with the nerve wracking drama.
