Collaborative BBQ and Community Service Fair to connect individuals with services on 3rd Street today





Right now set EPD Sgt. LaFrance, EPD Ranger Dennis Gagnon,Eureka Councilmember Leslie Castellano and a few providers are on scene. Others were arriving to set up. EPD's Wayne Rabang is firing up the grill.



Teen Challenge,Waterfront, Area 1 Agency on Aging, New Directions and Walgreens are already set up.

From 10 a.m. to 3 p.m today, the Eureka Police Department Community Safety Enhancement / Engagement Team (CSET), Saint Vincent de Paul Dining Facility and Eureka Main Street are hosting a collaborative BBQ and Community Service Fair on 3rd Street between ‘A’ and Commercial Streets.

The event is intended to connect homeless or poverty-stricken individuals with resources in order to improve the overall health of the community.  Over 40 service providers have planned to attend and include St. Joseph's hospital.
