A wrongful death lawsuit has been filed against Redwood Teen Challenge.
I have always supported Redwood Teen Challenge. I know Pastor Tom well. I may have met Josh and Caleb but wouldn't know their last names. My experience with Redwood Teen Challenge at their gift shop or crew has always been positive.
I am going to wait and see what happens. I don't know the attorneys in this case either and cannot tell from the 1/9/26 court minutes whether it is incompetence by the attorneys or arrogance of Humboldt Superior Court. Could be both.
This is a legal matter and I want to see what happens with the demurrer before reaching out to Pastor Tom.
There are/maybe a couple of errors in the lawsuit as far as titles are concerned. Josh Livengood is the Program Director of the Men's Center according to the website. I believe Caleb is in charge of the work crew. If he is Assistant Director, he isn't listed on the website.
Redwood Teen Challenge filed a 170.6 against Humboldt Superior Court Judge Timothy Canning. The 1/9/26 demurrer was continued to 1/30/26 for opposition to be filed. There is a case management scheduled on 3/16/26.
