Dates set for oral arguments in Rory Kalin's lawsuit against County of Humboldt and Public Defender's Office

 

I have been adding updates to my September 2024 post on the appeal filed by former Humboldt Public Defender Rory Kalin. 5/15/25 was my last update. The next court date is 2/23/26.

Former Humboldt County Deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin settled with one defendant Gregory Kreis. In February 2024, Mendocino Judge Moorman denied Kalin's motion for new trial for co-defenants Humboldt Public Defender Luke Brownfield and former Humboldt Public Defender Marek Reavis. Kalin filed an appeal.
