The questions I asked were:
1.How many people on the average are screened at both entrances, if it is easier to give one number that is fine
2. In the last week or month, contraband or weapons seized/turned away
3. People come into the building & I dont know if there are stats (via questions, jurors) to determine how many go to the second floor.
I have done several posts on Humboldt Courthouse screening. I was the first to report about the funding issues and mostly recently, the first and only one to report that after public backlash and the County and Courts being called out by independent reporting which was widely read; last Friday funding has been "found." Humboldt County Sheriff William Honsal has not responded to my request for more details about the Friday development.
What I know is that they are planning on renewing the contract for another year. The three security guards who gave notice still plan to leave. They are smart because the County and Courts handled this poorly and could change their mind; again.
