On August 12, 2025, 85 year old Raymond Aldo Luzzi was arrested by HCSO Lt. Jesse Taylor on a Ramey warrant and booked into the Humboldt County jail yesterday PC 311.11(a) for possession of child pornography.

Luzzi posted bond. The DA had time to review and file charges since Luzzi is out of custody.
As of 1/14/26, the report was still under review. After checking with DA Chief Investigator Baxley, she confirmed today that the report had been rejected.
A report being rejected can be for many reasons, including the DA's office making a determination the case could not be proved beyond a reasonable doubt.
A family member contacted me shortly after the arrest claiming the case had been dismissed. That was incorrect. The family member did not provide me evidence. I check on cases regularly and I am the only media who does updates with dismissals or if charges are not filed.
