Jackie Klem is suing County of Humboldt and Otis Elevator Company. Klem is represented by Mr. William Stein of local law firm Janssen Malloy.
The lawsuit was filed on 12/24/25. On September 16, 2024, Klem was visiting an inmate at the Humboldt County jail. The lawsuit alleges elevator stopped, doors opened but was misaligned with the floor, Klem tripped and suffered injuries.
A Case Management Conference is scheduled on 6/22/26.
