Convicted sex offender and felon Andrew Tuttle arrested by EPD and booked on 10 charges including failure to register, firearms, weapons and drugs

 

Convicted sex offender and felon Andrew Allen Tuttle was arrested today by Eureka Police Department and booked for PC 290.011 (a) failure to register as a sex offender, PC 290.013 (a) failure to register as a sex offender, PC 25850 (c) (1) carrying a loaded firearm by a convicted felon,  PC25850 (c) (6) carrying a loaded firearm and not being the registered owner, PC 30305 (a) felon in possession of ammunition, PC 29800 (a) felon in possession of a firearm, PC 21810 possession of brass knuckles, HS 11370.1 (a) possession of a controlled substance while armed , HS 11364 (a) paraphernalia and HS 11350 (a) possession of a controlled substance.

He has four Humboldt Superior cases with one dismissal and one case where access is denied.

Megan's Law shows him in violation.

2026 case:

1/29/26: CR2600232 is for the January 2025 arrest. CR2303464 is failure to register as sex offender. Tuttle was arraigned on 1/27; Conflict Counsel's Office was appointed; Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran set $65,000 bail in 2026 case; $10,000 in 2023 case.

OR & SR denied by Judge Killoran. Preliminary hearing on 2/6.

2/6/26: Preliminary hearing in CR2600232

continued by defense to 3/12. CR2303464 is trailing.

3/12/26: In the 2026 case, Tuttle waived preliminary hearing and was held to answer as charged in the complaint. People leave offer open until arraignment on information which is on 3/26.  That offer is for Tuttle to plead guilty to Counts 1 & 3 and the stipulation would be the mid term sentence of 13 years in prison.

3/26/26: Instead of arraignment on information in CR2600232, Tuttle resolved his case with a plea. Tuttle pleaded guilty to Count 1, 3 and 4. Counts 2 and 4 were dismissed. This is a conditional plea. Count 1 mid term 3 years. Count 3 and 4 to be served concurrently.

CR2303464 is. trailing. Sentencing is on 4/22/26.
