On December 12, 2025 and December 24, 2025, I did two posts on Cass Bell about no charges being filed and the one on 12/24/25 said his bail bond was exonerated. I had regularly been checking with the Humboldt County DA's office. Today, I confirmed with Chief DA Investigator Kyla Baxley and the report about Bell's arrest by EPD on 11/3/25 has been "rejected." Since my post on his arrest, I consistently said this would happen.
If you read my previous coverage, I said once the DA would make a decision, I would add details about other parties involved. I already said the other party was formerly a law enforcement officer. That was Josh Bates, who formerly worked at Bear River Casino.There was also a woman involved in the alleged altercation.
