Daniel Scott Vansyoc arrested by Fortuna Police yesterday for PC 290 (b) failure to register as a sex offender. Nothing on Megan's Law in California, HCSO feed on Vinelink is still down and we are not allowed to publish booking photos thanks to the Ninth Circuit ruling.
He is still in custody right now. Depending on what Humboldt Superior Court Judge he gets, usually this just results in no consequences and being released back on the streets.
Vansyoc has four criminal cases and two traffic cases in Humboldt Superior Court. The 2025 for forgery is still open. Convictions in rest with one dismissal. The sex offender conviction is not from Humboldt County.
