Former insurance agent John Ford waived his preliminary hearing on August 26.
This morning, Ford was arraigned on the same 14 charges. Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin appeared in court with Ford today.
After Ford was arraigned, trial confirmation was set for March 2 and jury trial was scheduled for March 16. The jury trial may not happen as the case was expected to resolve today and a plea deal with the possibility of probation has been discussed.
Deputy District David Moutrie was not in court today and Ms. Whitney Timm appeared for the People.
Ford waived time.
