This post involves yet another arrest for repeat offender Jonathan Eisenhard Marcks, Jr who got a plea and yesterday was arrested by Eureka Police Department on a Ramey Warrant for PC 1203.2 probation violation in his 2025 case and PC 664/187 (a) attempted murder in a 2026 case.

Over the past several days, personnel from the Eureka Police Department Patrol Division
developed information regarding the whereabouts of Jonathan Marcks, who was wanted in connection with an attempted homicide in Arcata.
Working in collaboration with the Humboldt County Drug Task Force and the Eureka Police Department Criminal Investigations Unit (CIU), investigators confirmed Marcks was staying at a motel in the 2100 block of Broadway.
On August 4, 2026, at approximately 6:47 p.m., Eureka Police Department Patrol officers and a CIU detective conducted a coordinated enforcement operation resulting in the successful apprehension of Marcks without incident.
Marcks was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on the Ramey Warrant for attempted murder and an additional felony warrant.
