After closing arguments today, the jury in criminal threats and domestic violence suspect Nicholas Sarkozy's trial, which is for one of three open cases, went into the deliberations room at 4:25 p.m. and left today at 4:30 p.m. The other two cases are trailing and one of them is for probation violation.
Sarkozy is seated at the counsel table and in the past two days, it seems like he is in a yellow wheelchair. He turned to look at me after the jury had left and attorneys were having brief discussions about verdict forms with Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran.
Deputy District Attorney Brandon Boozari is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel Zachary Curtis is Sarkozy's attorney.
10/23/25: Notes from jury requesting readback of HCDO Deputy Olivia Alves testimony and Jane Doe 1's testimony.
