58 year old Jonn Champagne arrested yesterday by Fortuna Police Department for PC 290(b) failure to register as a sex offender. He is out on bond.
He won't face any consequences for this charge in Humboldt Superior Court. I used to follow up but after 100s of such arrests and no consequences; no jail time; it is a waste of time.
