Today there was a waiver hearing for George Zinn who is charged with obstruction of justice & sexual exploitation of a minor. The hearing for his cases just concluded. Next court hearing is October 29. Zinn was detained after Charlie Kirk was shot and then arrested and booked into the Utah County jail. Ms. Carly Madsen who is an attorney with the Utah County Public Defender's Association told Fourth District Judge Thomas Low that the State had made a new offer in one of Zinn's cases and she asked for a "last waiver in that case." In the other two cases, she requested a "third waiver." Defense has requested medical records and Ms. Madsen will address custody status at the October 29 hearing.
Utah County Deputy Attorney Marissa Flowerday appeared on the cases for the Utah County Attorney Office.
