"Do you speak English?" "Go back to Mexico"

 

Yesterday, this guy started hurling insults outside the Courthouse. This after he harassed a woman. He asked me for a light. I said no. Then he got into it, yelling vile racial slurs and hate.

Courthouse security is aware of him. They had let HCSO know and said they would call Eureka Police Department if necessary. Security did. He was arrested, mouthed off to EPD, was released after being booked and that is when I saw him in the morning. 

As people were leaving the Courthouse, he was harassing them. Courthouse security had to go out. 

5 p..m. today I was near 5th and H.

This guy showed up. Asked me, " Do you speak English?" "Go back to Mexico". I did not engage him which made him upset.

These are the mildest insults I can publish. He kept taunting me to call the police. If you are going to be racist; at least brush up on various ethnicities. Why is it that morons always use the "p" or "f" word? Maybe expand your limited vocabulary and learn more than two English words.

I called EPD at 5:01. He told me to and was yelling filth as I was on the phone. I left the area and like a coward, he headed off to the jail. EPD has a description.

Be careful and if he engages you; walk away and call law enforcement.

I doubt he is a vet or has cancer as he claims or is mentally ill. The chances in Humboldt are that he is probably high.

I cannot even go home and have peace or be safe. Why? That is something I share with those who actually care about my safety and me.

I am so grateful for Eureka Police Department and those few of you who know who you are.

10/7/25: Was told he was out this morning in front of the Courthouse harassing more people and tagged the Courthouse pole. I did not see him but several people who work at the Courthouse did.
