Nicholas Sarkozy flips out in court, glares at me, the jurors, called a juror "a dickhead" after the verdict and was cuffed and taken out of the courtroom

At 1:50 p.m. I was there as the jury  for Nicholas Sarkozy had a verdict. In the courtroom, they informed Humboldt Superior Court Judge Lawrence Killoran that they reached a verdict on three counts and were hopelessly deadlocked on three counts. Sarkozy found guilty of criminal threats, false imprisonment and dissauding a witness. The jury "hung" and was "hopelessly deadlocked" on the domestic violence charge and two counts of violating a protective order.

The vote breakdown does not indicate guilt or innocence but the foreperson said for the three counts, it was 11-1; 5-7 and 9-3. Judge Killoran polled each juror who said "they were hopelessly deadlocked."

I was the only one in the courtroom and the only one so far and first one to speak to jurors and have exclusive feedback. Sarkozy glared at me while we were waiting for the jury, started talking after the verdict and before the jury had left and then yelled and screamed at the jurors. Called one of the jurors "dickhead." This was because that male juror had his fingers against lip motioning Sarkozy to be quiet since Judge Killoran was talking.

"No wonder people do not believe in the ...justice system," Sarkozy screamed as he was being led out of the courtroom. "You put an innocent man in prison."

Thankfully, HCSO Sgt. Josh Comer and HCSO Det. Brian Buihner were in the courtroom. They were very swiftly and discreetly positioned themselves to protect the judge, court staff, attorneys and jurors. Sarkozy was cuffed and taken out of the courtroom due to the disruption.

During the trial, his attorney, Deputy Conflict Counsel Zach Curtis had to repeatedly tell him to be quiet. Judge Killoran had to admonish him several times.

Judge Killoran had to apologize to the jurors today for Sarkozy.

"You have been an outstanding jury" Judge Killoran told them. I agree based on my observations.

Even though they disagreed on some counts, jurors exchanged numbers. I would have posted earlier but I was talking with them, including some of the jurors I know.

When he was on the stand earlier, Sarkozy put on a show, saying "objection.; asked and answered" when Humboldt Deputy Brandon Boozari was questioning him.

Sarkozy is a moron. He is a danger to the public. And he has two other open cases. He needs to stop being a narcissistic ass, take responsibility and on November 21, I hope he gets the maximum prison sentence allowed.

In a previous post on the trial, I reported that he told a witness not to come to court. Those phone calls were recorded and the jury heard them.

DA Press Release (issued at 4:27 p.m.):

Today, a Humboldt County jury convicted 39-year-old Nicholas Alexander Sarkozy of multiple felony offenses, including Criminal Threats, False Imprisonment, and Dissuading a Victim. The verdicts came down following a 7-day trial prosecuted by Deputy District Attorney Brandon Boozari, with the assistance of District Attorney Investigator Tim Marsolan, and District Attorney Victim Witness Advocate Haley Collom. Sarkozy was represented by local defense attorney Zachary Curtis.

The Honorable Judge Lawrence Killoran presided over the trial and is scheduled to sentence Sarkozy on November 21 at 8:30 a.m.
