Nicholas Sarkozy arrested by HCSO for criminal threats, false imprisonment, domestic violence, dissauding or intimidating a witness or victim and probation violation

 

Nicholas Alexander Sarkozy was arrested by HCSO yesterday PC 136.1(a)(1)dissuading or intimidating a witness or victim, PC 236 false imprisonment, PC 422(a) criminal threats PC 273.5(a) corporal injury to a spouse or cohabitant commonly known as domestic violence and PC 1203.2(a) probation violation. 

You can search online for his 2024 arrest in the Brass Rail and Grill. Too many criminals in Humboldt, too little time and no time keeping up with these "poster boys" and repeat ofenders.

Sarkozy has three 2024 cases closed. Conviction in CR2402481, dismissal in CR2400792 and conviction in CR2400659. None of the 2024 convictions mention Brass Rail and Grill but both cases were for violent charges.

After I did this post, I got this email on June 28.

"Hello I read your story on Nicholas Sarkozy, I am the victim from the 2024 crimes not related to the Brass Rail incident. Unfortunately they keep catching and releasing him, he has domestic violence records from Florida to Humboldt. Hopefully this time they keep him, he is an absolute danger to women, their children. I told the DA Brandon whatever his last name is in 2024 if they release him they are putting my life, my family in danger or anyone else who falls prey to him. "

**I was unable to verify the claim of any arrests in Florida and no evidence was provided by the person who emailed me. The person is referring to Humboldt Deputy Deputy DA Brandon Boozari and in my regular court coverage, I have noticed he dismisses more cases than any other Humboldt Deputy DA and besides Sarkozy, another recent repeat offender is Brian Mitchell.**

On 7/1, DA filed charges for this latest arrest. There are 4 counts; three felonies and one misdemeanor. Sarkozy was arraigned on 7/1. The Public Defender appointed was appointed by Humboldt Superior Court Judge April Van Dyke; bail is $50,000 and a protective order was served on Sarkozy in court. OR bail on 7/3; preliminary hearing on 7/11. 

7/3/25: Public Defender declares conflict; Conflict Counsel appointed. Supervised release denied by Humboldt Presiding Judge Kelly Neel. Preliminary hearing on 7/11.
