Blaine Nathan Becksted was arrested yesterday by HCSO for PC 664/187 (a) attempted murder, PC 422 criminal threats, PC 273a(a) child endangerment, PC 246 shooting at an inhabited dwelling or occupied vehicle and PC459/461(a) burglary.
He has convictions in a 2022 and 2021 traffic case.
7/2/25: Charges filed today. Complaint was filed by Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees. After arraignment, I saw Becksted being taken back to jail at 2:08 p.m. in a wheelchair. Alleged victims are Aaron Douglas Becksted and Heather Guiol Becksted and minor John Doe.
Mr. Rees appeared on the case at arraignment. Conflict Counsel's office appointed by Retired Judge Christopher Wilson. Mr. Rees requested no bail and that request was granted. OR bail on 7/7; preliminary hearing on 7/15.
7/7/25: Conflict Counsel declares conflict. Becksted has retained Ms. Andrea Sullivan. She reserved argument on OR bail until the next court date. Preliminary hearing on 7/15.
7/15/25: Criminal proceedings suspended by Judge Kaleb Cockrum. Dr. Brunetto's reports due on 8/12.
8/12/25: Hearing regarding Dr. Brunetto's reports continued to 8/13. Judge Lawrence Killoran disqualifies himself. Deputy DA Brandon Boozari appeared on the case for for Deputy DA Roger Rees on 8/12 and 8/13. On
8/13 people did not stipulate to Dr. Brunetto's reports and requested 2nd opinion. Dr. Sidhu reports due 9/3.
9/3/25: Receipt of Dr. Sidhu reports continued by court to 9/19. Mr. Rees appeared on the case today; Ms. Andrea Sullivan is Becksted's attorney.
9/19/25: Receipt of Dr. Sidhu reports continued to 10/3.
