(Request from Scott Q Marcus)
(Ross' response)
(from Scott Q Marcus' Facebook page)
The only time I hear from Scott is when he wants something. Unlike Ross and many of the other corporate or "wealthy" local media, if I am going to give away free ad space or do a PSA it will be for a worthy cause and I have done that before. Even though I cannot afford to, it is my way of paying forward to the kindness shown to me.
As for Ross' statement, "I do believe you are mixing your City of Eureka duties with your Center for Spiritual Living duties"; readers can decide for themselves if Ross is joking, making an accurate observation.
Scott, you have been around for a long time in Humboldt and if your bragging on your website and Facebook is true; then you made and make money. You can certainly afford to pay for an ad at the rates some of us offer; you could have offered some kind of donation such as two free tickets to someone deserving in the community or some selfless gesture. Instead you chose to use a media list others do not have which you have access through your work connections.
You boast on your Facebook and website about marketing, consulting and and being a business advisor. Then, why do you need free help from the numerous local media for the "biggest fundraiser?" You are welcome for the free publicity from this post.
