Currently in private practice in the LA area, Mr. Allan Dollison is also a Retired Colonel, former Humboldt County Deputy DA and former public defender for Amador County.
I have posted other columns by Mr. Dollison published in the LA based Daily Journal on the U.S. Supreme Court, President Trump's executive orders, the Liz Cheney pardon by former President Joe Biden and the Matt Gaetz report.
Today, Mr. Dollison made the front page of the Daily Journal on a timely and relevant topic to LA, California of interest nationwide. There is a hearing this afternoon on California's challenge by Governor Gavin Newsom and CA Attorney General Rob Bonta regarding President Trump's deployment of the National Guard and Marines in response to LA protests and riots.
U.S. District Judge Charles Breyer declined California's request to issue a temporary restraining order immediately and set today's hearing for Thursday and granted the Trump administration request for time to file a response.
Daily Journal has a paywall. As a courtesy exclusively for my advdrtisers, subscribers and donors, Mr. Dollison sent me the initial draft he submitted. Daily Journal made a couple of changes to the final publication.
This is the post I did later this evening on U.S. District Court Charles Breyer's ruling granting California Governor Gavin Newsom control of the CA National Guard.

Judge Charles Breyer is the brother of former Justice Stephen Breyer. In September 2024, I did a post about Retired Supreme Court Justice Breyer responding to a question by Mr. Dollison on Supreme Court, presidential immunity and the Constitution.
