Trump takes over CA National Guard, 2000 will be deployed to LA, Newsom is objecting via tweets, ACLU intends lawsuits, SBA relocates LA office

ACLU  issued a statement saying the organization intends to file suit. These are two paragraphs from that statement.

"In response to Trump administration's deployment tonight of the National Guard in Los Angeles County, please attribute the following statement to Victor Leung, chief legal and advocacy officer at the ACLU Foundation of Southern California."

"The Trump administration's baseless deployment of the National Guard is plainly retaliation against California, a stronghold for immigrant communities, and is akin to a declaration of war on all Californians. "

"The Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department confirmed on Saturday that another protest erupted in the city of Paramount after it appeared that federal law enforcement officers were conducting another operation."

"The department said in a statement that a large crowd was blocking traffic in the 6400 block of Paramount Boulevard at around 12:42 p.m. "

Images captured by CBS News Los Angeles at the scene showed several dozen protesters gathering on the streets of Paramount. Some attempted to get in the way of a U.S. Marshals Service bus, while others threw rocks and other objects at law enforcement vehicles."

On June 8, both these tweets posted at the same time.

At 2:33 p.m. on June 8, Newsom, CA Attorney General Rob Bonta, the usual CA Democrats Adam Schiff, LA Mayor Karen Bass along with ACLU, Amnesty International issued a press release with the same talking points made on social media by Newsom and Bass. I am not posting the lengthy press release.

The lack of coverage by "mainstream" "legacy media" has been dismal. Since last night, there has not been much on social media, especially X.
