EPD enhanced Citizen RIMS platform includes live incident mapping, daily bulletins and security camera registration

The Eureka Police Department is pleased to announce the launch of its newly enhanced Citizen RIMS platform, powered by Sun Ridge Systems.

This upgraded system delivers an improved user experience and expanded access to critical public safety data, reinforcing the department’s ongoing commitment to transparency and community engagement.

Since 2017, the department has provided public access to information through the Citizen RIMS platform. The updated version introduces a more intuitive interface and a broader set of tools designed to keep community members informed and involved.

Key features of the enhanced platform include: Live and historical incident mapping, allowing residents to visualize real-time and past events and better understand local crime trends. Interactive crime statistics, presented in clear, easy-to-read graphs to help users track patterns in public safety. Daily bulletins, along with information on stolen vehicles, missing persons, and recent arrests. Online services, including vacation house check requests and security camera registration, enabling residents to take a proactive role in supporting public safety efforts.

Please note: Users who previously subscribed to the platform will need to re-register for email notifications, as the website address has changed with this update. The department encourages all community members to explore the new Citizen RIMS platform and take advantage of its features. The system is designed to strengthen the partnership between the community and law enforcement by making vital information more accessible than ever.
