In a 6-3 ruling today, The U.S. Supreme Court stayed a District Court’s order pending appeal with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the First Circuit.
This allows the Department of Homeland Security can finally exercise its "to deport criminal illegal aliens–who are not wanted in their home country–to third countries that have agreed to accept them."
In her dissent, Justice Sonia Sotomayor wrote that the majority was granting the government “emergency relief from an order it has repeatedly defied.” She was joined in that minority by Justice Elena Kagan and Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson.
