After two years and two months, alleged molestor Sebastion Hockett waives his preliminary hearing, DA files third amended complaint

Alleged molestor Sebastion Hockett was arrested in March 2023. I have followed the case and every hearing which was mostly updates of continuance after continuance and the majority by defense.

Finally, two years and two months later, on 6/12, Hockett, waived his preliminary hearing. Arraignment on information is on 6/26/25.

Judge Steven Steward held Hockett to answer on all charges after Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer filed a third amended complaint. Public Defender Luke Brownfield appeared on the case for his office.

6/26/25: Trial setting on 8/29.

8/29/25: Readiness Conference on 1/29/26; jury trial on 2/9/26.
