Posted on Reddit but no call to APD?

 

A reader sent me this Reddit link.

I am not sure why this user posted hours ago because the incident is a few months old. The reader did not do anything wrong. The reader and someone else saw this post  on Reddit and assumed it was recent. They wondered why there had been no media coverage.

These  screenshots from the Reddit post hours ago.  I am not posting an unsubstantiated video. There is no proof that this video is a complete record of the incident.

I did check with Arcata Police Department. You can read the CAD documentation yourself .The screenshot posted today is misleading because the incident last September.

I called Wildberries. I spoke with Manager Aaron Gottschalk. "We are aware of the incident. It was tagged on our Instagram page. It has been on Humboldt Reddit for a while. This is a serial shoplifter. The incident happened in September. The shoplifter was detained until police arrived. It was determined they were a minor. The issue of force was handled internally." 

Comments with differing opinions and an unverified video on Reddit.  Did those with concerns or claiming to be eyewitnesses speak or notifu APD or any appropriate authority when the alleged incident occurred?

Whoever is recirculating this  four month old incident on Reddit has an agenda. Random, anonymous users online with unsubstantiated claims and a video not authenticated by law enforcement have zero credibility.

The father identified the minor on social media. Used to work at Wildberries.
