What was the Security National and City of Eureka meeting about two weeks ago?

 

Two weeks ago, I was walking by Eureka City Hall and I saw Security National executives, Rob Arkley and Allison Arkley Holland going into the building. 

Later, an inside source told me that City of Eureka Manager Miles Slattery, Eureka Mayor Kim Bergel, Eureka City Councilmember Leslie Castellano and City of Attorney Autumn Luna met with SN. The discussion involved safety concerns SN has about downtown Eureka. 

Many business owners can relate to SN concerns. Many residents in Eureka can do the same. I have documented numerous incidents in Old Town, downtown and all over Eureka. I dread going to Old Town and downtown Eureka and don't anymore unless necessary.

This source told me to put in a PRA request for emails pertaining to what led to this meeting.

I  sent that request right after this post. It is already after 5 p.m and the staff member handling the PRA request will most likely see my email tomorrow morning. I did cc Miles, Kim and Assistant City Manager/City Clerk Pam Powell. Miles did respond acknowledging my email requrst at 6:05 p.m.

Miles and certain Eureka City Councilmembers do favor and regularly give information to Lost Coast Outpost that other media is not privy to and I am sure other media know about this meeting.

LOCO has a bias when covering City of Eureka and Eureka City Council. Have you seen any investigative or critical coverage of Eureka City Council? 

I do not trust shit stirring LOCO to present all the information to the public and to present it without a spin. I am documenting this because if the City of Eureka has received any other PRA requests, they should treat all media fairly.
