Smash and grab suspect Nathan Ruptak was arraigned on 1/19. A criminal protective order was served in court. Ruptak has 43 cases in the Humboldt Superior Court system. His attorney is Paul Gallegos.
43 after they merged HCSO and APD cases for his latest case in 2023. I left that on top the first page of the complaint and did not crop.
Ruptak has an OR/bail hearing on 1/24. I will add an update regarding that to this post. It is a no brainer and I doubt he will be released from custody on O.R. He should not be released at all. If a Humboldt judge releases this man on 1/24, then that judge does not believe in public safety.
Preliminary hearing is currently scheduled for 1/26.
