Out of county warrant found for parolee arrested for weed, meth and fentanyl

On Jan. 16, 2023, at about 2:07 p.m., Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputies on patrol in the Garberville area conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle with expired registration.

Deputies contacted the driver of the vehicle, 46-year-old Carolyn Marie Brandy aka Baker, who was found to have an out-of-county warrant for her arrest. During a search of Brandy and the vehicle incident to arrest, deputies located over 16 grams of suspected fentanyl, over 2 grams of methamphetamine, over 1.5 pounds of cannabis, drug paraphernalia and items consistent with the sale of controlled substances.

Brandy was booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of a controlled substance for sales (HS 11351), possession of a controlled substance (HS 11377(a)), possession of drug paraphernalia (HS 11364(a)), possession of over 28.5 grams of cannabis (HS 11357(B)(2)), transportation/sale of a controlled substance (HS 11352(a)) and parole hold (PC 3000/08(c)).
