August Real pleaded guilty earlier this month to child abuse/endangerment. Since his plea did not involve other charges of molestation but since Real did not plead to those, he does not have to register as a sex offender.
Real was sentenced to 4 years of formal probation. 301 days jail time was imposed but Real's custody credits were applied. Real was ordered released from custody.
Deputy District Attorney Carolyn Schaffer is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo is Real's attorney.
