On September 7, alleged molestor August William J Real III had his preliminary hearing and was held to answer to Count 1 and 4. Real was not held to answer to Count 2 and 3 by Judge Kaleb Cockrum.
On December 30, at intervention, Judge Kelly Neel accepted Real's conditional plea to Count 4. The trial confirmation date scheduled for today and jury trial for next Monday was vacated.
Since the plea is only for Count 4, child abuse or endangerment, Real will not have to register as a sex offender.
