I was there to see the arrest a few minutes before 10 a.m. Gathered some initial information before I did this post. If the suspect's name is familiar,it is because he has made the news before. Google him.
Suspect Todd Cravens who broke into Kaber Law offices was apprehended by EPD. There was a lot stuff behind a recycling can.
Cravens is yelling from the patrol car saying that the door to the building was left unlocked. While Officer Jeremy Sollom was communicating with Doug Kaber and office employees, Cravens was screaming obscenities.
Cravens told the officer that "these guys leave the door unlocked all the time. Kaber Law Firm employees just confirmed to EPD that people do forget to lock the black gate on the outside and just put on the chain.
"I didn't fucking steal anything" Cravens is yelling. This after he admitted earlier to the officer that he stole the property EPD found. Cravens was wearing a rainjacket belonging to one of the employees.
Some stolen property belonging to Kaber Law Firm recovered. Neighbors are telling EPD Cravens is a "peeping Tom" and looks into windows. Some of the property was not from the Kaber Law offices.
Cravens booked for PC 496 (a) receiving stolen property, PC 594(b)(1) vandalism, HS 11377(a) possession of meth, PC 22810 unlawful use of tear gas, PC 4573 bringing drugs into jail or prison and PC459/461 (b) burglary.
