Savage Henry gets sued; attorney states bankruptcy anticipated

Savage Henry Comedy Club, Chris and Monica Durant are defendants in a lawsuit filed by Peter Nelson. According to Linkedin, Nelson is the project leader for Savage Henry. Chris Durant previously worked for the Times Standard.

Defendants' attorney is Ms.Heather Burke. Nelson is pro per and was not in court today.

The lawsuit is civil unlimited and alleged breach of contract/warranty. A case management conference is scheduled for 8/5.



Cornell Law:

A ruling by a court to stop or suspend a proceeding or trial temporarily or indefinitely. A court may later lift the stay and continue the proceeding. Some stays are automatic, but others are up to judicial discretion. Usually, the pendency of an appeal usually stays proceedings in the court below.

8/5: CMC on 11/4.

11/4/22: Savage Henry and Durants' attorney is Ms  Heather Burke. Plaintiff Peter Nelson plaintiff is pro per. On 11/4/22, Ms. Burke  says  she has not heard about any settlement from Nelson, requests one further CMC. 

1/9/23: Court minutes say both parties request trial. Nelson requests CMC to see if matter can resolve.

4/10/23: CMC continued to 10/13/23 by Durants. According to Court there is a bankruptcy stay in the file.

10/13/23: Nelson failed to appear; case dismissed. Bankruptcy filed December 2021.
