Yesterday, defense in Ray Christie case filed documents. The motion to continue is scheduled to be heard on July 14. There is a declaration from Larson Law Firm's Mr. Rick Richmond regarding the continuance and a proposed juror long form.
I expected some filing before the jury trial currently scheduled for August 1 because of Christie's medical treatment. Based on the recent filings and the reason being additional health issues and medical conditions, the defense filing statimg that the People will submit on the continuance request, it should be granted.
I will do a separate post on the filings. Deputy District Attorney Steve Steward is out of the office as of today so we will see who appears for the People in court.
