Will former therapist's evidentiary hearing resolve his case before jury trial?
Edward Pena evidentiary hearing for mental health diversion was scheduled on April 9. It was continued to April 24. Jury trial is scheduled for June 22.
On March 25, Judge Lawrence Killoran granted Deputy Public Defender Wade Orbelian's request for a prima facie finding.
Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy DA Tobias Hasler is representing the People for the evidentiary hearing.
