Preliminary hearing for convicted human trafficker David Anderson was scheduled for February 6.
Deputy District Attorney Stacey Eads is the prosecutor for the case. Mr. Michael Acosta is Anderson's attorney. Acosta who was arrested but bailed out yesterday was a no show in court. Despite attempts by the Court to reach him, by 10:10, Judge Christopher Wilson rescheduled the preliminary hearing to February 20. Intervention is on February 13. This was done with Anderson's consent. Anderson had previously entered a time waiver.
"I think he has other matters to deal with," Judge Wilson said to Anderson referring to Acosta.
Time estimate is two full days. He has two cases. One is for violation of parole. The other case involves several charges including human trafficking, forcible rape, sodomy and forcible oral copulation. The special allegations allege Anderson administered a controlled substance to the victims who were minors at that time.
