Defense has not received autopsy report so preliminary hearing for murder suspect Daniella Moore was rescheduled

Intervention and a defense motion to continue the preliminary hearing was scheduled this afternoon for murder suspect Daniella Moore.

Attorneys spoke with Judge Kaleb Cockrum at the bench. Then Deputy Public Defender Casey Russo spoke with Moore. Finding good cause, Judge Cockrum granted the continuance.

"We have not yet received the autopsy report for this case," said Mr. Russo. That report is needed to specifically address the special allegations. Once the autopsy report is received, Mr. Russo will need to consult an expert andif necessary, file another continuance.

Deputy District Attorney Whitney Timm was in court for the People. Per Marsy's law, Hannah Elizabeth Hayhurst's family had been notified about the defense request for continuance.

The preliminary hearing for February 20 has been vacated. Intervention is on March 12; preliminary hearing on March 19.
