HSU tightlipped on allegations regarding faculty member having paid sex with multiple students

I contacted HSU University Police Chief Donn Peterson. He referred me to HSU VP Frank Whitlach. I called the Marketing and Communications Department. I spoke with Grant Scott-Goforth who was very reluctant to provide any additional information.

I asked if the faculty member was male or female. I asked if if there was a lead law enforcement agency and was told, "the matter is being handled internally."
Scott-Goforth clarified later that University Police Department is involved in the investigation.

Arcata Police Chief Brian Ahearn confirmed he had not been contacted by HSU.
