Do you want to run for Eureka City Council Ward 2 and Ward 4? Current Ward 2 Councilmember is Heidi Messner. Current Ward 4 Councilmember is Austin Allison.
Allison has already indicated that he will not seek another term for Eureka City Council.
Filing period for those two wards is July 13 to August 7.
The current election season has not ended and the rumors are already rampant about potential candidates. All these rumblings come from people involved in recent campaigns or political organizations.
Joe Bonino plans to run again. This was mentioned right after the last Eureka City Council election.
Natalie Arroyo will run against 4th District Supervisor Virginia Bass. Few people have been speculating about Arroyo for a while. Only one person recently mentioned to me Allison may run against Bass.
Today someone told me they heard from three different sources that Cornelius Lowenstein plans to run for Allison's council seat.
For those in Humboldt who thrive on 24/7 anonymous snark, gossip and rumor mongering, this post is to ferret you out. Let's see if you can resist taking the bait.

ReplyDeleteYou are correct. People dont bother to read,educate themselves or check facts. Instead they rant on social media, spread misinformation,have a mob mentality and do absolutely nothing to make a difference in the community.
