Defense waiting for one DOJ report and DNA expert funding in Ulisses Rodriguez case

Pre trial for murder suspect Ulisses Rodriguez was scheduled for February 26. Trial confirmation is scheduled for 5/20; jury trial for June 29.

For now dates were confirmed. Rodriguez was in court in a red jumpsuit which means he is in "admin segregation."

Deputy Public Defender Ben McLaughlin is Rodriguez's attorney. Deputy District Attorney Roger Rees is the prosecutor on this case.

Mr. McLaughlin told Judge Lawrence Killoran he was awaiting funding for the DNA expert and that Mr. Rees had provided him all DOJ reports except one. That report is pending approval before it will be released by the DOJ.

Victims are Tiffany Marie Ellebrecht and Jeremy Dieter Kuemmel.
