Demetrius Coleman arraigned today for Johnny Renfro murder, second suspect to be arraigned Thursday

Rio Dell City Manager Kyle Knopp confirmed that both suspects Demetrius Coleman and Alma Bernice Ahumadamendoza have been transported to the Humboldt County jail from Fargo, North Dakota. Both were wanted in connection to the homicide of Johnny Renfro (26) in Rio Dell back on August 29, 2019.

Coleman was arraigned today on one count of murder and special allegation that he personally and intentionally discharged a firearm which caused great bodily injury or death to Renfro. Intervention is on 2/20 and preliminary hearing on 2/24. He is being held on a no bail murder warrant.

Ahumada will be arraigned by Thursday on the charge of accessory after the fact (knowledge of crime). The complaint states that Ahumadamendoza had knowledge that Coleman committed the murder and she "did harbor,conceal, aid"Coleman with the "intent that he might avoid and escape trial, conviction and punishment."
