Man convicted of criminal threats, sentenced to probation is out in the community with firearms still registered in his name

Danny Waters was sentenced February 5. He pleaded guilty to criminal threats and admitted the special allegation of using a firearm in the commission of the crime.

A PPR report for status of firearms was scheduled for February 26. It was continued to 3/26 because Waters still has some firearms registered in his name.

Despite opposition by the People, Waters' family members and his own concerns, Judge Christopher Wilson sentenced Waters to probation.

Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward is the prosecutor for this case. Deputy DA Roger Eees appeared for him in court today. Deputy Public Defender Luke Brownfield is Water's attorney.
