Clayton Lasinski case could resolve, defense offers "11 years on the bus"

Pre trial was scheduled for assault suspect Clayton Lasinski on February 20.  Jury trial is scheduled for June 1.

Deputy District Attorney Trent Timm is the prosecutor for the case. Deputy Conflict Counsel R.J.  Leohner is Lasinski's attorney. At the last hearing, attorneys had indicated the case would resolve.

Both sides need to work out the details but the proposed offer from the defense is "11 years on the bus."

Lasinski is charged with 16 counts. The defense offer is 9 years for PC 245 (b), one year consecutive for PC 245 (a), 1 year for PC 417 (a). Time for PC 664 and PC 69 would be served concurrently.

Further pre trial is scheduled for March 12.
