Pool of blood where Liakos' body was, knife being omitted by Leiteritz until Deputy brought it up and different statements by Leiteritz
HCSO Deputy Eric Losey took the stand at 11:30. He was the first officer and first responder to arrive on scene on August 9.
His testimony included dispatch relaying information to him regarding the 1140 Boss Road incident, including someone telling dispatch that Brian Leiteritz said, "I am going after them." A knife and dark sedan was mentioned to dispatch.
Deputy Losey was famliar with 1140 Boss Road since he had responded to a prior incident between Leiteritz and Alicia Rose. No arrests had been made and it involved a property dispute.
Dylon Liakos had no weapons. His body was on the sidewalk, his eyes open, no pulse, a small pool of blood.
Leiteritz gave three different field interviews on the scene, did not mention the knife until Deputy Losey brought it up. Leiteritz mentioned three subjects attacking him.
Deputy Losey did not see any forced entry into the house on August 9. A knife with red residue was found and secured into evidence.
Deputy Losey said, Leiteritz's recitation of events didn’t lead to a subject being deceased on the sidewalk.
Deputy Losey was excellent. Deputy Losey's testimony was further bolstered by the two 911 calls played after his testimony Deputy Losey recorded his interviews with Leiteritz. His report was very detailed, including a supplemental report anout the weather that night.
