Convicted murderer Jacob Steele's case in limbo until private attorney appointed

Convicted murderer Jacob Steele had a hearing for status of his Franklin hearing/resentencing scheduled yesterday which was continued to September 5. It was continued to September 10 because court is still looking for private attorney to represent him.

At the last hearing, the Public Defender declared a conflict. Private counsel needed to be appointed. Steele wants to file a writ of habeas corpus.

If you are not familiar with the case, read the link below about his case and about what a Franklin hearing/resentencing entails.
