Will there actually be a trial or will the Kalin lawsuit quietly resolve?

The case management conference scheduled for December 10, 2021 in the lawsuit filed by former Humboldt Deputy Public Defender Rory Kalin against Humboldt Superior Court Judge Gregory Elvine-Kreis, former Public Defender Marek Reavis and current Public Defender Luke Brownfield was continued by stipulation to 2/14/2022.

The lawsuit  involves an incident on a boat where Elvine-Kreis was allegedly drinking and partying with Humboldt Public Defenders, allegedly yelled Jewish slurs, allegedly pushed  former deputy Public Defender Kalin into the water and allegedly indulged in other questionable behavior.

Readiness conference is scheduled for 6/29/22. Jury trial for 7/11/22.
