Vehicle code stop leads to arrest for meth and firearm charges

On Jan. 30, 2022, at about 8:28 p.m., a Humboldt County Sheriff’s deputy on patrol in Willow Creek conducted a traffic stop for a vehicle code violation in the area of Country Club Drive.

While speaking with the driver of the vehicle, 37-year-old Timothy James Gore, the deputy observed a spent ammunition casing inside the vehicle. Upon inquiring about the presence of a possible firearm in the vehicle, deputies learned that Gore was currently in possession of a firearm illegally. Deputies searched the vehicle and located a loaded firearm inside. Also inside the vehicle, deputies located approximately .16 grams of Methamphetamine.

Gore was arrested and booked into the Humboldt County Correctional Facility on charges of possession of a controlled substance while armed (HS 11370.1(a)), carrying a loaded firearm in a public place (PC 25850(a)) and possession of a controlled substance (HS 11377(a)).
