"Since 2017, I have served the people of Humboldt County, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes from murder to public corruption, from animal cruelty to white collar crime."

I did a post earlier today on Deputy District Attorney Steven Steward's website. He is one of the candidates for Judge Christopher Wilson's seat. Mr. Steward had told me he would be releasing a statement later today officially announcing his campaign.

“Today I am announcing my candidacy for Humboldt County Superior Court Judge.  I have been an attorney for over a decade and I have the experience and temperament necessary for this important position. "

"Since 2017, I have served the people of Humboldt County, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor crimes from murder to public corruption, from animal cruelty to white collar crime.  I have also served as the Humboldt County DA's office environmental prosecutor where I have worked to hold accountable those that threaten our shared natural resources. "

"If elected I will bring my proven track record of hard work, experience and dedication to the job of Superior Court Judge.  I am committed to ensuring fairness by remaining unbiased and impartial in all cases.  I have served as both a prosecutor and defense attorney and have experience in both civil and criminal law.  I am proud to say that I have the support of law enforcement, defense attorneys, civil litigators and prosecutors.  If given the opportunity I will serve the people of Humboldt County with honesty and integrity as the next Superior Court Judge.   Please visit stevensteward.com for more information.
